NEPRIS PARTNERSHIP

We partnered with Nepris, a company that organizes lives events to educate children about different possible career opportunities, with a great focus on areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We gave a 30 presentation talked about our personal experiences of getting into STEM and robotics and answered questions from a live audience that joined to listen to us. In fact, we had classes and students from Hawaii to New Jersey tune in that were eager to learn and asked many questions.

LWBE FALL FESTIVAL OUTREACH

We went to a local elementary school to show our robot to kids at their fall festival to spark their interest in STEM. We were able to inform the kids and their parents on how how they could get involved in FIRST robotics at their own school, and kick start a career path towards STEM.

LOCAL BUINsiESS TOURS

We reach out to local businesses, such as Austin Energy. Austin’s goal is to use 100% clean energy by 2050. They gave us a private tour of Electric Drive, Austin’s showcase of electric transportation. Austin is a Smart City leader and highly encourages renewable and clean energy such as electric cars and solar panels.
